Remember this when you're 15

Me: "Jackson, are you sure you want to see Coraline? What if it's too scary?"
Jackson: "If it's too scary we can hold each other"

P.S. it wasn't too scary. We liked it.

Daddy,

Another year has passed without you in it and my heart still aches as if it is the first. There is still a part of my soul that longs for you - never whole. I miss you in a way that is complete and relentless. How I wish you could see my sons, your grandchildren - Jackson, so like you, and Finn, with his little smile. I know you are there. I want you here. I still feel you. I can see your smile. I love you.

Happy Birthday to Finn!!!!

I can't believe my baby is 2!!!! My BABY. We had a small dinner at Nona's house to celebrate the birth of Finn Michael Dilley b. January 28, 2007. He was 7 pounds and 9 ounces of squishy love and now he is 2 years of stubborn mischief and tantrums.

Since he's all grown up, we figured a little wine was in order.
(don't call CPS it's totally Martinelli's)

Happy Birthday Kelli!

Christmas

I couldn't believe how quickly Christmas was here and gone this year. I didn't even get cards out! The boys were soooo excited. Mike asked Jackson, as he was tucking him in, what Santa was going to bring him and Jackson said, "Just one batman toy, and one transformer because mommy doesn't want too many toys." Heartbreaking? Maybe. Accurate? Yes.
Don't feel sorry for my children, when Christmas came to a close we had stuffed two car loads and destroyed the house. Again we want to thank all our friends and family for making our holiday so wonderful and filled with joy. We felt so blessed to have all our new books, and toys, and clothes, and soccer net, and plasma cars, and (oh sweet bliss!) the DVD players for the car. But we are even more blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. We love all of you!

Thanksgiving

So, the great thing about Finn's Halloween costume is that he was able to pull double duty and be our Thanksgiving mascot as well. We had a low - key Thanksgiving this year with a nice dinner at Nona's house - except that she forgot to make my rolls. The end.

Okay, okay, okay.....

So I'm a little behind. In my defense, my digital camera broke and that was a bit of a deterrent. Michael's wonderful parents decided to make our Christmas and get us a brand new one (THANK YOU!!!) and so I will attempt to redeem myself. In the meantime........
